Developing and Supporting the Curriculum runs from summer 2011 to summer 2014, spanning three academic years.
This Theme is providing the Scottish higher education sector dedicated time and resources to consider and shape the nature of the Scottish HE experience, complementing work already going on within institutions, and earlier Themes’ work.
The Developing and Supporting the Curriculum theme aims to make the learner journey more effective for students and more efficient for staff and institutions. It has a strong focus on quality and is consistent with the Scottish Government’s 2011 Putting learners at the centre: delivering our ambitions for post-16 education.
Phase 2 work is now underway. Institutions are taking forward work and sharing progress through the steering committee. In addition, three topic-focused projects arising from Phase 1 are being taken forward. These are:
