The Way Forward
There are three levels at which Developing and Supporting the Curriculum will operate:
- Institutional: Each University will put in place an institutional team to take forward and coordinate the work of the Theme within their institution. Institutions will develop work in the context of their own institutional priorities, students' needs and implementation plans. Some additional resources will be commissioned in order to feed into and support this work.
- Areas of Shared Interest: One aim of the Theme is to help institutions in sharing and learning from enhancement approaches from across the whole spectrum of HEIs in Scotland and, as with previous Themes, from approaches outside Scotland. There will be an attempt to identify clusters of shared interest around particular issues, facilitating discussion and the possible development of collaborative projects across HEIs. These areas of shared interest will be identified in the first year of the Enhancement Theme.
- Sectoral: This Theme will continue the sector-wide discussions developed in G21C – through the annual conference, sector symposia, institutional events, and steering committee sessions. National and international contributors will inform these activities.
