Managing Enhancement
Quality Cultures and Systems Structures for Enhancement
The SHEEC Theme on the Management of Enhancement involves two distinct but related strands of work - Cultures of Enhancement and the Quality management structures and processes in the reflective institution.
The work on cultures of quality enhancement will seek to describe and examine what quality enhancement cultures are, how they operate and how they can evolve. This relates to the work on quality management structures and processes, as it analyses and describes how various structures and processes can develop and sustain quality enhancement cultures.
The first phase of work has been completed. This has resulted in the following outputs:
-
Cultures of Quality Enhancement: a short overview of the literature for higher education policy makers and practitioners | MS Word (74kb)
-
SHEEC Theme on the Management of Quality: cultures of quality enhancement and quality management systems and structures | MS Word (140kb)
The second phase of work involved an investigation of international practice in quality systems and cultures | MS Word (151kb)
More information will be added as it becomes available. In the meantime, if you wish information please contact Heather Gibson at enhancement@qaa.ac.uk.
