During the period 2006-2008 Scottish Sector considered the topic of enhancing graduate attributes through research-teaching linkages. As with all Themes, the focus is on enhancing the learning experience of students and in this particular case the focus will be on the learning experience of students on taught programmes.
During the time of the Theme, the sector embraced the concept of, developing graduate attributes and have spent time considering their own institutional priorities and that of developing a graduate who can contribute effectively to Scotland's cultural, civic, ethical, and economic future. As well as delivering key resources and findings for the University sector it has also laid the foundation for the next Enhancement Theme on 'Graduates for the 21st Century' . This work has commenced and will see the University sector again address important issues regarding the support and development of key graduate attributes.
