Kath Shennan lectures in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Aberdeen and uses a variety of interactive techniques to improve student engagement. She convenes the University’s Quality Assurance Committee and has a keen interest in enhancing the quality of the University’s teaching provision and improving the student experience in general. Her other major roles in the University are as admissions selector for BSc degrees and Convenor of the Students’ Progress Committee so she is able to view the entire student journey from application through to graduation. This gives her a unique insight into the issues facing students at various points in their time at University.
