Edinburgh Napier University's main aim was to ensure student transitions was a priority for all at the University. They based their work on three main topics that aligned with the University's Strategy for 2020. The topics include:

  • international transitions
  • transitions into placement or work
  • using data to explore students’ routes to admission.

During year two of the Theme, the University focused on support for international student transitions. The project looked at the support offered across the University in relation to this. QAA funding enabled the University to hire a Research Assistant to assist with the project.

Work continued on these areas throughout the final year of the Theme. The University also launched the Friendship Family Programme. This helped international students experience local culture and the Scottish way of life.
