The University of Strathclyde aligned their work for student transitions with the University's strategic priorities. Their work was also informed by their activities and achievements from previous Themes.

In the first year, four student interns scoped the current state of student transitions into higher education and produced a report with key recommendations for the University. During the Theme, the University reviewed and addressed those recommendations.

In the second year, the University mapped their existing transition practices and developed a new set of principles and practices for engaging with students.

In the final year, the University focused on identifying sustainable best practice at phases of the student lifecycle. They will use this practice to improve the student experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
