Project overview


Distance and sense of belonging is one of the collaborative cluster projects. It seeks to enhance the student experience of distance, online and rural learners. It will do this by developing a toolkit to promote the learners’ sense of belonging at module and programme level. Tutors across Scotland can use the toolkit to make informed decisions about the type of interventions required. This cluster is being led by Queen Margaret University and builds on the year one sector-wide workshops exploring potential topics of interest.
