Webinar - Students using students' data

An introduction and guide to using evidence and data in the representative system to improve the student experience

Date: June 18 - 2019
Location: Online

This webinar will take place on 18 June 2019 from 12:30 to 13:15 and is free to attend.

As part of the current Enhancement Theme, QAA Scotland will present a series of webinars aimed at helping you use data to enhance the student experience. Facilitated by a range of sector leaders and experts, these valuable sessions will consider the use of different types of data (both quantitative and qualitative) in a range of contexts.

About this webinar

Data is an important tool, and provides us with the evidence we need in order to enhance the student learning experience, but how much do we involve our students in data processes? What are the barriers, and more importantly, what are the potential solutions? This webinar will look at student interaction, engagement with, and use of data, alongside the problems we face in engaging students. It will also look at the positive elements of student involvement, and explore a case study of good practice. This webinar also draws on the work of the Enhancement Theme Student-led project to explore the ways that students in different academic representative systems generate, use and share (or could generate, use, and share) data and evidence to improve the student experience.
