Webinar - Hunting for evidence in the data landscape
|Date:||February 19 - 2019|
This webinar will take place on 19 February 2019 from 12:30 to 13:15 and is free to attend.
As part of the current Enhancement Theme, QAA Scotland will present a series of webinars aimed at helping you use data to enhance the student experience. Facilitated by a range of sector leaders and experts, these valuable sessions will consider the use of different types of data (both quantitative and qualitative) in a range of contexts.
About this webinar
We are surrounded by mountains of data and statistics for the Higher Education sector. This webinar aims to provide a base camp, map and compass for staff involved in managing academic quality to explore and better understand the range of data available to them, and how it may be meaningfully used. The webinar will cover HESA data, as well as student surveys and third-party analyses and publications such as the TEF and League Tables.
Strategic Planners from various Scottish universities working with QAA
As members of a small group of strategic planners from various Scottish universities working with the QAA on 'Evidence for Enhancement', collectively we have extensive expertise in sourcing, analysing and presenting data to support decision-making within HE. This ranges across a broad spectrum of core business processes, from policy, funding, and governance, to monitoring student recruitment, retention and satisfaction.
Who should attend?
This webinar will be of interest to a wide range of staff and students, but may be of particular value to those in teaching leadership roles within the Scottish higher education sector.
Please note that we will be recording the webinar, and will capture text chat along with video and audio. We hope you can join the webinar but if you are unable to do so, the video will be available on our YouTube channel.
