REGISTRATION NOW OPEN - The future of learning and teaching: Planning and delivery of digitally enhanced blended learning

Date: August 17 - 2023

Join QAA Scotland for the first of a series of events in academic year 2023-24 to share findings from the Scottish Funding Council commissioned project from QAA Scotland, Education Scotland, sparqs (Student Partnerships in Quality Scotland) and the College Development Network at The Studio in Glasgow on 20 September 2023.

The pandemic accelerated changes that were already happening in learning and teaching. The aim of this project is to capture and learn from our experiences of emergency remote teaching and explore how we can most effectively use different approaches to digitally enhanced blended learning in the future to provide students in Scotland with learning opportunities that best suit their needs and support successful outcomes.

As well as initial findings from the project, the event includes sharing practice sessions from colleges and universities across Scotland highlighting challenges and successes in delivering effective digitally enhanced blended learning.

This face-to-face event will focus on key areas from the project findings so far including planning for effective digitally enhanced blended learning for Scottish colleges and universities across all SQCF levels. Together we will explore the current picture across Scotland, share practice and challenges and plan next steps based on project findings.

Intended audience

All college and university staff with an interest in the effective implementation of digitally enhanced blended learning.

Space will be made available to self-evaluate our current practices, work through identified challenges, and develop a practicable way forward drawing upon the voices of informed sector colleagues.

At the end of the event, you will have explored the breakthroughs implemented by colleagues in using staff development initiatives, to support effective learning environments in different modalities and how you can begin to implement them in your own institution.

Registration

Registration is now open for this face-to-face event, and pre-event materials, including videos, will be available on our website in due course. If you have any questions, please get in touch with ARCadmin@qaa.ac.uk.
