Valuing student representation in quality enhancement - event registration now open

Date: October 19 - 2022

""

The first of the exciting virtual panels from the 20 Years of Enhancement programme, taking place on 14 November (13.00-14.00), is now open for registration.

Student engagement is at the heart of Scotland’s culture of quality enhancement in higher education. After 20 years of the enhancement-led approach to quality, student representation is an essential element of all levels of good academic governance in Scotland’s higher education institutions.

The role of student representatives, in quality assurance and quality enhancement, is vital to ensure that the student feedback is heard and acted upon. Representing student interests and experiences also provides students with a unique opportunity for professional skills development.

This session will bring together past sabbatical officers and former ELIR student reviewers to discuss the impact of student representation in quality enhancement. It will also look at how they have used lessons from their student representative experience to inform their current roles within the Scottish and international higher education sectors.

  • Eve Lewis, Director, sparqs
