Building a resilience course for students: Moving from surviving to thriving

Date: June 20 - 2022

Through our April TLG networking session (28.04.22) we had a preview from Aberdeen University colleagues on their development of a course to help build student resilience. We heard more about the activity at the June Enhancement Conference.

Student interns have made a really big contribution to the course development and we wanted to share the Zoom recording of the session so you hear directly from the student interns on how they have been involved in course co-creation. The course design process has involved seeking feedback from students through focus groups, gaining their insights about what might work.  The student interns talk about ‘resilience walks’, one of the key features of the course. Interested to find out more about course content and approach? Explore the Zoom recording and PowerPoint slides.

With student wellbeing continuing to feature so prominently in the tertiary education sector, we are looking forward to hearing more from our University of Aberdeen team about course implementation and how it impacts on the student experience.

You can listen to a recording of the TLG session and view the presentation slides on the Enhancement Themes website.
