For the final session of the 5th International Enhancement Conference, Building Resilient Learning Communities: Using Evidence to Support Student Success (3-5 November), we are delighted to present So what is next for the Scottish sector?

Featuring representatives from across the Scottish higher education sector, panellists will share their views on how the sector can continue to offer high quality learning and teaching and an excellent student experience, in spite of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, while also seeking to support economic and wider societal recovery.

Panel members include:

  • James Dunphy, Director, Access, Learning & Outcomes, Scottish Funding Council
  • Sir Paul Grice, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Queen Margaret University
  • Alexander Hedlund, Vice President (Education), Heriot-Watt University Student Union
  • Professor Sally Mapstone, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, University of St Andrews
  • Professor Ruth Taylor, Vice-Principal (Education), University of Aberdeen (Chair)

This is a great opportunity to feed into the discussion on the future of higher education in Scotland, and for delegates outside of Scotland to discover more about the Scottish sector and what learning it has to offer to the rest of the world.
